A. Obey “speed limit” and “No Parking” signs.

A. Be alert for children, bicyclists and walkers.

B. Do not use the roads for sports activities or games.

A. Follow the rules posted on beach signs.

B. Do not bring glassware or crockery onto the beach areas.

C. Do not use the beach or designated swimming areas for sports activities,    e.g., football, soccer, baseball, volleyball, etc.

D. Do not run on the beach, piers or stairs, or climb on the seawall rocks. No jumping or diving into the water from seawalls, piers or stairs.

E. No fishing from Buckingham or Walker seawalls or piers or in designated swimming areas.

F. There is no lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk.

G. No launching or mooring of kayaks, canoes or similar vessels in designated swimming areas or from piers or sea walls.

A. Dogs should be leashed or confined to the owner’s property.

B. Clean up after your pet.

C. The Town prohibits pets (i.e., dogs and other animals) anywhere on Town beach property except leashed dogs from October 15 to May 1. Refer to Old Saybrook Town Ordinance. 401-8.

A. Only launch from appropriate launching areas:

• From the Barnes Road ending launch only canoes, kayaks and small sail boats. Launching in this area is not permitted for trailered vessels.
• Buckingham boat launch is a restricted area. Follow all signs. Canoes, kayaks, personal water craft, sail and motor boats may be launched from the shore at the end of the driveway. The fingers of the floating dock are private property of the assigned boat owners and may not be accessed by Association members, their guests or renters. There is no fishing from the floating dock.
• Launching is not permitted from the pier or seawall at the end of Walker or Buckingham Roads.

  B. No jumping or diving off fixed dock at the Buckingham boat launch area. Adhere to all signage.

  C. There is no parking in the boat launch area. Once the boat is launched, all vehicles and trailer are to be removed.

A. Keep roads and beach areas clean; dispose of litter and recyclables in proper receptacles.

B. The Town prohibits campfires and bonfires unless permission has been obtained from the Town Fire Marshal. C. Follow the warnings against digging and eating shellfish.
